Python Backend Developer

My client is looking for an experienced contract Python Developer to work on site for their investment banking Client. The Python Developer will assist in creating an Data Observability Platform. The project will begin by reviewing/creating a new system catalogue for the client’s general data information systems. The Python Developer will be hands on in building this system with the team.

Key skills:

• Strong Python development experience
• PySpark
• Python frameworks (Django, Flask, Bottle, FastAPI)
• Experience with large datasets and distributed processing (eg Spark, Dask)
• Container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes on Azure/AWS/GCP
• Experience building RESTful APIs & API development best practice
• Experience of Git & a good understanding of CI/CD best practices
• Experience in Financial Services/Banking projects.

Responsibilities:

• Build efficient Back End features in Python, including profiling and integrating large datasets
• Support the design and implementation of functional requirements
• Implement best practise API designs including security
• Collaborate with Frontend Developers to implement design into the code
• Implement software enhancements and suggest improvements
• Contribute to CI/CD & Test automation
• Prepare technical documentation
