Community Manager

At VeraContent, we are looking for a freelance community manager to manage our client’s social media account for the German market. Our client is a global electronics accessory company.

Main tasks:
– Adapting social media content from English to German, or creating it from scratch
– Offering recommendations for adapting the social media calendar to the German market, considering local trends, current events and holidays
– Replying to user comments throughout the month in German, following guidelines specific to the client
– Working closely with our client point of contacts to create and push content across a few social media platforms, namely Instagram and Facebook.
– As a Community Manager, you’ll be responsible for engaging with the digital community and being an advocate for the brand
– You’ll also be responsible for sharing feedback/insights about the community, such as noting things that audiences are repeatedly bringing up, e.g., questions around a certain topic or issue, praise for a certain product, etc.
– Occasionally assist and help with brainstorming for the content calendar in line with the latest trends

What we’re looking for:
– Native-level German and high level of English (C1). Excellent writing and communication skills in German.
– Based in Germany
– Skilled in localization from English to German
– Experience in community management
– Be based in Germany and have strong knowledge of societal trends in the German market
– Available during moments throughout the day to speak with client points of contacts via Slack
– Start date: Most likely start of December (TBD)
– Understanding of social media best practices for businesses, especially on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook
